Osteopathy
What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a method of care based on manual techniques, aimed at maintaining or restoring the mobility of the body’s various structures.
Every body has the capacity for self-healing, and the osteopath helps support that process. The goal is to identify and treat mobility restrictions that may affect all the structures of the human body.
Who is it for?
Infants, children, adults and seniors alike: osteopathic techniques are adapted to each patient according to their age and build.
What can it help with?
Osteopathy addresses all the major systems of the body: musculoskeletal, thoracic, digestive, urinary, gynecological, neurological and post-traumatic.
What happens during
a session?
Initial consultation
Connects your history with the reason for your visit.
Assessment
Assesses through tests the areas of the body that move the least. Restricted movement may point to an area of reduced function.
Treatment
Carried out with gentle techniques adapted to the person and to their reason for consulting.
And afterwards?
The body needs 48 to 72 hours to integrate the information provided by the session. It is recommended to avoid any exertion during this time to optimize the effects of the session.
“Osteopathy is a science, an art and a philosophy.”

A few words about my osteopathy journey
I graduated in 2012 after six years of training at the Institut Supérieur d’Ostéopathie de Lyon (France), which taught me to adapt techniques to the reason for consultation, age and build of each person. I have been practising in Montreal, Quebec since 2017.
“Our pains speak through words”
I combine my passions (rugby, squash, running) with osteopathy, supporting athletes at various sports clubs and events to optimize performance and recovery. Thanks to this, I have observed the influence and importance of the mind in therapeutic care.
I gained experience helping people with both acute and chronic pain while working with a home-visit osteopathy service (Urgences Ostéopathiques).
Throughout my career I keep refining a humanistic and holistic (whole-person) approach based on listening and communication. Trust and sharing are at the heart of my practice, which is open to everyone.
